
The Hammond Police Department is searching for 37 YO Lawrence Jackson of Hammond following a narcotics search warrant in the Clinton Court area on July 24, 2024.
After receiving numerous complaints about illegal narcotics, observing suspected illegal narcotics transactions at the residence, and making an arrest, HPD officers secured a search warrant on the residence. During the search, HPD officers located approximately 10 ounces of pressed fentanyl pills, 13 ounces of heroin containing fentanyl, 1.24 ounces of crack cocaine, 8 grams of ecstasy, 8 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of marijuana, various opioid pills, 2 digital scales, and $1,707 in U.S. currency.
Jackson was not home during the search, however his two juvenile children were left home unattended with the deadly narcotics.
Jackson is being sought for charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Child Endangerment, and Improper Supervision of a Minor. The children were unharmed and are now in the care of a family member.
The HPD Narcotics Division was assisted in this operation by the HPD SWAT Team, HPD Street Crimes Unit, HPD Juvenile Division, HPD Criminal Investigations Division, Louisiana Probation & Parole, and the DEA Fentanyl Overdose Response Team.
