Tangipahoa Parish Public Schools will be open on Friday, January 19, with the exception of the following schools that are under a boil advisory and have little to no water pressure from their local water service: O.W. Dillon, Kentwood High, Sumner Middle, Sumner High, Chesbrough, Spring Creek, Loranger Elementary, Loranger Middle, and Loranger High.
The very low water pressure in the Loranger Schools is also impacting the ability of the heat pumps to warm these buildings.
The district will continue to update employees, students and families through email, text, TPSS App, social media, and local radio stations (TANGI 96.5 FM, Kajun 107.1, and Lake 94.7) as changes occur.
