Members of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Traffic Division are investigating following an ATV crash which occurred Monday afternoon near Abita Springs.
Shortly before 4 p.m. Monday (December 11) STPSO deputies were dispatched to United Church Road in reference to an ATV which had left the roadway and struck a tree.
Both occupants of the ATV, an adult female and a juvenile female, were ejected upon impact. The adult was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, and the juvenile was airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation and no additional information will be released at this time.
