Oncology professionals from across the Northshore came together last night at the inaugural Sheroes and Heroes at the Covington Country Club.
The event was put together by Lisa McKenzie, Founder and CEO of You Night Empowering Events, and Northshore Media Group.
After hearing from advocacy experts about oncology issues and successes in the state, awards were presented to medical professionals that included doctors, nurses, radiation therapists, dieticians, volunteers, and others who had helped shape positive cancer outcomes for Northshore patients. Often the nominating letters were read by patients themselves, who shared powerful stories about their cancer journeys and how the nominees helped them.
