A junior high student was arrested by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office after it was discovered he had prepared a “hit list.”
STPSO deputies were notified Monday evening after a student at a Madisonville-area junior high school reported to school personnel that another student had prepared a “hit list.”
That student, a 14 YO male, was issued a summons Tuesday for Menacing and was released to a parent on a custodial agreement to appear in court.
Sheriff Randy Smith said they will continue to investigate any and all threats to schools and the students who attend them, and enforcement action will be taken when warranted.
