Yesterday Hammond Firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire at the Home Suites 2 hotel being constructed off South Magnolia.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire conditions on the exterior of the building extending into all four floors of the hotel.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the fire and brought the fire under control in about 35 mins from arrival.
HFD called for assistance from Natalbany and Ponchatoula Fire Departments for manpower.
No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
