The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in loathing a stolen trailer.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards says on October 23, 2023, deputies responded to the Quickway in Roseland where it was reported a semi-trailer carrying over 43,000 pounds of galvanized steel had been stolen.
According to the victim, the driver dropped the load in the rear parking lot of the Quickway and didn’t secure the load before departing on October 21. Upon returning on October 23, the driver noticed the trailer and the load were missing.
During the course of the investigation, a white semi-truck was observed by security video hooking up to the trailer and driving westbound on Highway 1048 towards I-55. The stolen trailer was last seen on a traffic camera traveling westbound on I-20 near Monroe on October 22 around midnight.
The license plate attached to the trailer is Maine 5002529.
