DOTD provided an I-55 update yesterday, saying work started over the weekend on the southbound lanes of I-55.
There were no additional closures to note.
Southbound lanes remain open, and they will taper into one lane near the site of Monday’s accident. Currently, the left lane is open. Once temporary repairs are complete in the right lane, it will open, and the left lane will close for repairs.
The entire northbound portion remains completely closed.
