Chief Fandal’s Wild Game Seafood & BBQ Cook-Off is this Saturday from 12-4 p.m. in the heart of Old Towne in Slidell.
General Admission tickets include all-you-can-eat food tasting from over 40 plus cook teams.
The cook teams will battle to place in the competition categories. Local celebrities will judge these cook teams and decipher the winner for each competition. The event also includes live music, live auction, kids zone, and Arts & Crafts fair.
The event is hosted by Slidell’s Chief of Police, Chief Randy Fandal and all proceeds benefit the local nonprofit, Community Christian Concern.
Last year, this event brought in 5,000 patrons.
This Cook-Off is the largest fundraiser for the Community Christian Concern and is vital in contributing towards the resources needed to continue their mission. Their mission is to help the homeless and low income in the Slidell/Pearl River area by “touching one Life at a Time”. They provide help on a case by case basis and last year served 3,700 community members in need.
