On August 28 at approximately 3:05 am, the Hammond Police Department responded to The Yellow Store, located at 310 East University Avenue, regarding a report of an attempted armed robbery.
Upon arrival, HPD officers learned that two suspects used a crowbar to break the glass front door and entered the business.
After making entry, they were surprised by an employee inside the store and fled the scene while firing three shots into the business.
The employee was not injured.
Images of the suspects were obtained from surveillance video showing the suspects wearing masks, long sleeves and gloves.
