It was another record setting day for heat in New Orleans with the record set for at least one mark for the highest temperature on the day on Thursday.
Another record was set for the warmest low temperature of the day where it didn’t get any cooler than 82.
We’re still on track to set even more record for high temperatures through the weekend and into next week, too.
High temperatures combined with the extreme humidity will mean dangerous “feels like” temperatures, or the Heat Index could range to as high as 115-120 into next week.
We are also running a rainfall deficit on the year of nearly 22″ and we’ve only received just over 19″. That’s why we’re under a Severe Drought and a statewide Burn Ban until further notice.
