
In light of the recent national attention on human trafficking following the release of Sound of Freedom, Hope House will host Human Trafficking 101, a free, 1.5-hour in-person training geared towards parents and adults who work with children and youth.
This training is sponsored by the Louisiana Bar Foundation and will be taught by Hope House’s Child Trafficking Specialist Heather Denenea.
It will focus on the risk factors and warning signs of human trafficking, helping participants learn how to identify a child in need and how to report suspected trafficking.
It will beTuesday, August 29, from 6:00-7:30PM at Children’s Advocacy Center – Hope House on 223 W 28 Avenue in Covington.
In Louisiana in 2022, there were 693 total confirmed or suspected victims of trafficking served, under 18 years of age.
