The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office identified 67 YO Berry Roussel of Ponchatoula as the victim in a fatal shooting.
Deputies from LPSO and Police Officers with the Albany Police Department were dispatched to the Tourist Information Center located on Catholic Hall Rd in Albany around 4pm Sunday after a shooting.
Sheriff Jason Ard said they have determined this to be a domestic-related incident.
Details remain under investigation.
68 YO Edward Paul Louque of Walker has been charged with Second Degree Murder and was being processed into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
This incident did happen within the city limits of Albany and LPSO is working jointly with Albany PD on this case.
