The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the apprehension of a homicide suspect on Monday.
A WPSO deputy was dispatched to Pico Road, Franklinton, in reference to a possible homicide.
While patrolling the area, the WPSO deputy spotted a vehicle matching the dispatched description and with the assistance from the Franklinton Police Department and another WPSO deputy, a felony traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.
The driver was detained by WPSO and transported to a home on Cumnock Road. Upon arrival, a WPSO deputy located a deceased male subject inside the residence. The suspect was detained and $4,900 was recovered from her pockets. The scene was turned over to the detectives with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division.
The suspect was identified as Susanne Jenkins.
