
Yesterday, shortly after 6:30 a.m., Troopers from State Police Troop L began investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash on I-12 near U.S. Hwy 190.
The crash claimed the life of 23 YO Zuriel Pryor of Biloxi.
The initial investigation revealed the crash occurred as a 2011 Toyota Scion, driven by Pryor, was westbound on I-12. At the same time, a 2017 Ford Fusion was also westbound in front of the Toyota. For reasons still under investigation, the Toyota struck the rear of the Ford. After impact, the Toyota traveled off the roadway to the left and impacted several trees.
Despite being properly restrained, Pryor suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the Ford was properly restrained and sustained minor injuries.
Routine toxicology samples were collected from both drivers and submitted for analysis.
This crash remains under investigation.
