Mandeville Police said that on Monday they were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
The accident occurred in the 2400 block of Florida St.
Mandeville PD along with Fire District 4 personnel arrived on the scene and located a critically injured pedestrian.
The 38 YO Hispanic male was transported to Lakeview Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Impairment was not thought to be a factor, but the investigation will remain open pending autopsy results from the St Tammany Coroner’s Office.
The deceased’s identity will be released pending next of kin notification.
