
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect of a business burglary.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports on January 5, 2023, deputies responded to the business burglary of the Subway on University Avenue in Hammond. A subject is seen on security footage walking through the establishment after using a small hatchet to shatter the drive-thru window, where he made entry into the building.
The suspect appears to be a black male, and was observed wearing a dark colored hoodie, a face mask and was carrying a backpack.
The same suspect is believed to have also been involved in the burglary of the Subway on Airport Road in Hammond on the same night.
