Yesterday the City of Hammond Water system experienced a loss in pressure due to a broken water main.
An immediate Boil Advisory was put in effect on January 5, 2023, for approximately 600 customers.
The City of Hammond will rescind this Boil Advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health-Office of Public Health that additional water samples collected from the water supply system have shown to be safe.

The affected areas include Sun Lane, Harvey St., Apple Street, Hoover Street, M.C. Moore, Top Hat, Pine Drive, Mitchell Dr., King Ard, Grant St., and Willow St.
