On December 13, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a juvenile underage drinking enforcement check of eleven Washington Parish businesses.
Each of the businesses which were visited by an underage purchaser refused to sell alcohol to the minor.
Those businesses which refused to sell alcohol to the underage purchaser were from Franklinton, Town Crier, Winn-Dixie, Market Max, and the Chevron on Washington Street; the Hackley Hill Store in Hackley; and from Bogalusa, JZ Quick Stop, Walgreens, CVS, the Pumping Station, Highway 10 One Stop, and Chevron on Sunset Drive.
Sheriff Randy Seal said it was gratifying to know that parish businesses were doing their part to keep alcohol out of the hands of underage buyers.
