School Superintendent Melissa Stilley reminds families that classes are canceled this Friday, Sept. 30, for the “Fair Day” holiday.
Stilley said she hopes families will take time to visit the fair in Amite this weekend.
Many school groups are participating in the five-day event, which is held at the Tangipahoa Parish Fairgrounds in Amite.
The annual Fair Parade is this Friday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m., rolling through the streets of downtown Amite.
Stilley said classes will resume on Monday, Oct. 3, as usual.
