The City of Hammond has a new garbage contractor and with that will come some changes.
Waste Pro will start on October 1.
Waste days will remain the same and citizens will use a new garbage container beginning on the first day.
Containers are being delivered starting now.
A mailer was sent to every household with instructions for recycling.
Recycling drop off will be at the City Maintenance Facility on the first and third Saturday mornings of the month.
