Joseph Reid Copeland, the Denham Springs police officer accused of an inappropriate relationship with a minor, has been brought back to Livingston Parish and was processed into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
He was taken into custody in Irving, TX thanks to the LSP Fugitive Task Force & the Irving PD Fugitive Unit after he fled there.
This came about after the Denham Springs Police Chief asked officials to look into an incident that occurred around the 19th of August 2022.
Through that investigation, warrants were issued for Copeland for Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile & Malfeasance in Office.
