
The historic Dew Drop Jazz & Social Hall in Mandeville is back with a full season of concerts starting September 17th a variety of genres, including traditional jazz & South Louisiana blues, gospel and even New Orleans jazz with a Caribbean flare.
The 2022 Fall season will include six Saturday evening concerts showcasing some of the region’s most notable musicians and bands. They are: September 17 – Dr. Michael White & the Original Liberty Jazz Band, October 1 – Jumbo Shrimp Jazz Band, October 15 – Ed Wills & Blues 4 $ale, October 29 – Lil’ Ray Neal, November 12 – Charlie & The Tropicales, and December 3 – Two unique bands will perform one set each, starting with the newly formed Lamarque St. Community Choir – A Gospel Christmas and Alicia Renee aka Blue Eyes, in her Dew Drop debut.
Presented by the Friends of the Dew Drop, these six Saturday evening concerts will also feature home-cooked food for purchase provided by the Ladies of First Free Mission Baptist Church, located next door. Soft drinks, water, beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
Admission for each concert is $10 cash per adult. Students and children can enter free.
No outside food, drinks or pets are allowed and lawn chairs can be used outside the hall on the grounds.
