Last week Sen. Bill Cassidy’s office announced that the City of Hammond was awarded a $265,000 grant for improvements at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport.
This was part of a $7.5 million package awarded to airports across the state.
Hammond’s funding will be used for a runway rehab project.
Dr. Cassidy said having modern, efficient airports is essential to creating jobs and economic opportunity in Louisiana.
