Yesterday Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley announced the selection of Amanda Gomez Montalbano as the new principal at Loranger Middle School and Dr. Lisa Gros as the new principal for Hammond Eastside IB Upper.
Stilley said the two new school leaders were chosen from a competitive field of highly-qualified applicants.
Stilley said Montalbano and Dr. Gros join a group of six principals who were reassigned to new campuses this fall. The district is now advertising for six assistant principal positions at the following schools: Greenville Park Leadership Academy, Hammond Eastside Magnet Lower Elementary School, Jewel M. Sumner High School, Loranger High School, Martha Vinyard Elementary School, and Ponchatoula Jr. High School.
