
In yesterday’s report the Louisiana Department of Health said COVID cases are surging right now.
BA.4 and BA.5 variants are now the dominant COVID-19 strains in our Louisiana.
The Department of Health reported 3,672 new #COVID cases and of the newly reported cases, 796 were reinfections.
There were 664 hospitalizations.
The largest shares of these newly reported cases was among ages 18-29 (19%) and ages 30-39 (15%).
13 additional #COVID deaths were reported since 7/11.
