
Northshore Technical Community College has their IT Summer Fun Camp for Kids July 11th through July 14 from 9:00 am – 3:00 PM daily.
Rising 5th-8th graders, if you like computers and want to learn more about them, this camp is for you. Campers will experience: AWS Deep Racer: Training a self-driving car, Sea Perch: Building & testing an ROV, Unity: Developing a video game, Basic computer repair, How computer viruses work, and more. Campers bring a sack lunch and a refillable water bottle with leakproof lid. Snacks will be provided. Registration is $50 per camper.
Or maybe try the Summer Coding Camp for Kids. The Summer Coding Camp will be at the NTCC Sullivan Campus in Bogalusa July 25 through July 28 from 8:00 am – Noon. For 8-12 year olds, campers will learn the basics of programming with wearable Code Cubes for beginning coders. Campers learn block-based programming to create artistic animations, colors, and patterns that can play sounds or change as they move it around. The Coding Cube is theirs to keep at the end of camp. Snacks will be provided.
