The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said they have made two arrests in fake check scheme.
Sheriff Jason Ard confirms that two individuals – one of whom was already in the custody of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office – have been tied to the scheme.
Sheriff Ard says the two conspired to pass multiple fake checks through an LPSO inmate commissary account. The day it was discovered – the two were identified & charged.
Due to the nature of the type of instruments used, the bank was able to immediately replace funds which made them the victim in this particular situation.
Two suspects tied to case & arrested: Gerald Ford of Baton Rouge and Crystal Jackson of Denham Springs.
