
On Wednesday, May 11, around 8:30 p.m., several gunshots were reported in the area of W. 33rd Avenue and N. Pierce Street.
Officers and Detectives with the Covington Police Department responded to that area and located over 30 spent shell casings.
Investigators also learned that the gunfire struck a vehicle several times.
Thankfully no injuries have been reported.
Citizens of the West 30s community do not deserve to live in fear. Since June of 2021, through proactive patrols, the Covington Police Department recovered 36 illegally possessed firearms from the streets of Covington, large quantities of illegal narcotics have been seized, and known drug dealers have been arrested.
The Covington Police Department is requesting assistance from the public with information about this shooting. If you have information that can lead to an arrest in this incident, they are offering a $500 cash reward to that individual.
