On the morning of April 11, officers with the Denham Springs Police Department were notified of an attempted ATM theft at the business of Regions Bank located at 1509 S. Range Ave.
It is believed that after an unsuccessful attempt to remove the ATM from the bank, the suspects fled the scene.
The suspects were traveling on Veterans Blvd. towards Florida Ave. when the vehicle, a white Ford F250 crossed the median, left the roadway, traveled through a field, and eventually came to rest.
One suspect did succumb to injuries caused by the crash, and another suspect was apprehended after fleeing the scene on foot.
The vehicle used in the incident was found to have been stolen out of the Walker area.
Authorities have learned that both suspects were from the Houston area.
Goldie L. Jones was booked on Manslaughter, theft, simple criminal damage to property, and illegal possession of stolen things.
The incident is still under investigation.
