The Slidell Police Department says a traffic stop for speeding led Slidell Police to recover a stolen vehicle, an AR-15 rifle, and take a convicted felon off the streets.
Around 4:00 pm Tuesday a Slidell Police officer stopped a Cadillac CTS for speeding on Old Spanish Trail.
During the traffic stop, the officer discovered the vehicle to be stolen. Located inside of the vehicle was a large amount of marijuana, cash, and an AR-15 rifle.
The driver of the stolen Cadillac, 22 YO Don Robiho of New Orleans, was determined to be a convicted felon.
Robiho has been arrested in Orleans Parish three times for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, twice for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Illegal Carrying of a Weapon, Resisting an Officer, in addition to numerous other charges.
Robiho was taken into custody and faces numerous charges.
