After 2 long years, the week of Covington Celtic Club’s 4th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade and Celebration has finally arrived.
This year’s event takes place on Saturday, March 12th beginning at 12 pm and will follow the usual route, beginning at the Columbia St. Tap Room, winding throughout downtown Covington and concluding with a block party in front of Jewel Cigar on the corner of Rutland and New Hampshire St.

In addition to its traditional march of CCC members passing out paper flowers in exchange for a kiss and other Irish throws, bagpipers, dancers & wolfhounds, St. Paul’s Marching Wolves, The Mande Milkshakers and several other marching groups parading through our historic streets, the Covington Celtic Club is especially excited to announce its 2022 Grand Marshal, Ryan Schimpf. After winning the 2009 College World Series with LSU and being selected for the All-Tournament Team, Schimpf made his debut in MLB baseball in 2016 with the San Diego Padres and was named National League Rookie of the month just one month into his MLB career hitting 20 Home Runs in his first MLB season. Schimpf recently ended his career with the Los Angeles Angels and currently resides in Covington with his wife and 2 children where he is a licensed mortgage advisor with Angel Oak Home Loans.
