Just shortly after 12:30 pm on Christmas Day, Slidell Police Officers responded to the Olive Garden on Northshore Boulevard, in reference to a man who was trapped under his vehicle.
The man had broken down and was trying to repair his truck when the car jack that he was using malfunctioned causing the vehicle to fall on top of him.
Upon arrival, with the assistance of St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1, the patient was extricated, and a perimeter was set up for Ochsner Flight Care.
The patient was air lifted to a local hospital for further medical treatment.
