Officials at Armstrong International are reminding travelers to prepare for crowds as the Christmas surge begins.
Erin Burns, a spokesperson for the airport, says departing passengers for domestic flights should plan to arrive to the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure and for international flights arrive three hours early.
At Louis Armstrong International Airport, officials say the number of available airline seats are up 60% compared to 2020 and down 20% compared to 2019.
Burns also encouraged travelers to check the airport’s website for parking availability before leaving their home.
