Earlier this month over 40 homeless pups were adopted at Northshore Humane Society’s annual Home for the Holidays Adoption Event, a record number of adoptions since the event’s inception in 2014.
The day brought 50+ homeless dogs and puppies from both NHS and Once Upon a Tail Rescue to Petsuites Northshore, all in search of forever families this Christmas.
Adoption fees were waived thanks to the humane society’s partnership with Legacy Buick GMC of Slidell and Rainbow Northshore Buick GMC.
It was the first time the event was held at Petsuites Northshore and the location was perfect.
The day also included delicious food, a gift shop and even a vintage camper for holiday family and pet photos.
NHS CEO Scott Bernier says through the support of the community and their sponsors so many homeless pups will now spend this Christmas in the warmth and comfort of a forever home.
