Yesterday the Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,031 new COVID19 cases reported to the state since Monday.
989 individuals are hospitalized with COVID across Louisiana.
Yesterday’s report includes cases among all age groups. 19% are among ages 5-17, 16% are among ages 18-29 and 16% are among ages 30-39. The report also includes cases from all regions. 15% are from Region 8 (Northwest) and 15% are from Region 7 (Northeast).
54 new COVID deaths were reported, bringing the state’s death toll to 13,850.
According to the LDH, of the 2.3 million Louisianans who have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines, only 10 have had adverse reactions and 0 people have died as a result of the vaccine.
