The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the loss of one of their own on Wednesday.
According to the sheriff, Lt. Gary Baham died suddenly. Few details surrounding the cause of his death were released. The sheriff’s office said Baham was a longtime member of the TPSO family.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards says there is tremendous sadness among the TPSO family this week. Edwards added that this loss leaves an irreplaceable void at the sheriff’s office. Baham’s career with the sheriff’s office initially spanned 32 years, prior to his retirement in 2020, at the rank of lieutenant. He then started working for the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner’s Office and returned to work with the sheriff’s office, as a part-time reserve deputy.
