Ellen DeGeneres made a surprise donation to a group of nurses who rode out Hurricane Ida at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.
The four nurses, Paula, Kimberly, Kristi and Michelle were part of the 65 nurses who chose to stay during the storm to care for the babies in the NICU.
They were featured on Ellen’s show earlier this week and were surprised with a $100,000 donation to the Ochsner Employee Assistance Fund, which directly helps healthcare workers in need of assistance with recovery efforts.
