The Hurricane Ida Relief Fund has been established in response to the thousands of Louisianans working to recover and rebuild their lives in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, which caused widespread destruction across Southeast Louisiana.
This new charitable fund is a collaboration between the Office of the Governor, the state of Louisiana and several community foundations across Southeast Louisiana. It will raise and distribute relief assistance in the form of grants to those organizations and nonprofits that are working directly with those who have been impacted by the Category 4 storm. The fund prioritizes both immediate response and long-term recovery needs of the affected areas.
Please make your donations to IdaResponse.org.
Donations to the fund are tax-deductible. Community foundations partnering in this effort are Greater New Orleans Foundation, Bayou Community Foundation in Houma, Northshore Community Foundation in Covington and Baton Rouge Area Foundation, which is the fiscal agent for the Hurricane Ida Relief and Recovery Fund.
