Lacey Osborne with the St Tammany Chamber of Commerce sent out her monthly letter to members and talked about the Census results, which were released last week and puts St. Tammany as the fourth largest parish in the state.
She noted that the addition of 30,830 new residents since 2010 makes St Tammany the fourth fastest growing parish. With Orleans, Jefferson, East Baton Rouge and Ascension, our parish is in the largest region of the state as well.
Osborne said this incredible growth brings with it challenges and opportunities.
She wrote that unfortunately, Louisiana is the state with the highest per capita COVID cases in the country. She said as our community experiences the impact of this fourth COVID surge, the Chamber wanted to show their appreciation once again to the healthcare community.
