Chris Masingill, CEO of the St. Tammany Economic Development Corporation since 2018, announced Tuesday that he will step down later this summer to take on a new role as President and CEO of Louisiana Central, a ten-parish regional economic development organization based in Alexandria.
Masingill will remain in his current position through August, working with the EDC’s board and staff to ensure a smooth transition.
Under his leadership, the organization has become a more strategic and results-driven presence in economic development across the Northshore and southeast Louisiana.
The St. Tammany EDC Board of Commissioners is preparing to launch a national search for his successor and has initiated internal continuity and recruitment plans.
