
On March 30, 2025, detectives with the Hammond Police Department Narcotics Division arrested Kenyarie Guzman, 29 years old of Ponchatoula, for multiple outstanding warrants.
Following his arrest, detectives conducted a search warrant of the vehicle Guzman was driving and of an apartment on Kay Lane. During the search, detectives located the following: 3 bags containing approximately 25 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, 1 pill bottle containing approximately 206 pills, 1 glass jar containing approximately 15.41 grams of marijuana, 1 digital scale, and a large amount of US currency.
Guzman was on probation for possession with intent to distribute illegal narcotics. Detectives notified the Division of Probation and Parole, which placed a detainer on Guzman.
This investigation was a joint investigation between the Hammond Police Department, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Department of Homeland Security.
