The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office requests assistance in the identification of a man whose remains were recovered over 40 years ago.
On October 11, 1984, hunters discovered a partial human skeleton along the banks of the West Pearl River near Interstate 59.
The remains were determined to be a male, estimated to be 18-40 years of age at the time of death. LSU Faces Laboratory Anthropologists found characteristics of both Caucasian and African American ancestry indicating that he may have been of mixed race. The computer assisted artist image of the victim shows several prominent and unique facial features that investigators hope may lead to his recognition. Please note that the flesh tone and hair patterns are estimations, thus the viewer should take into account the likelihood of different complexion and hair patterns.
Anyone having information regarding the potential identity of this person should contact Investigator Chris Knoblauch at 985-781-1150.
