St. Tammany Parish Public School System (STPPS) officials are seeking input on the local portion of the School System’s Pupil Progression Plan, a foundational framework that defines placement, promotion, retention, and grading policies for our students.
To contribute to this process, members of the community should contact their local school principal or go to www.stpsb.org/PupilProgressionPlan to submit feedback. Input will be received from January 13, 2025, through January 24, 2025.
You can view the current Pupil Progression Plan at www.stpsb.org. Local policies are located in Appendix I of the Plan.
Annually, a committee of school administrators, teachers, and parents reviews the Pupil Progression Plan, taking into consideration input from stakeholders.
Following this review, a public meeting will be held on April 24, 2025 to receive feedback on any proposed changes to the plan. Following the final committee meeting, the proposed plan will be presented to the St. Tammany Parish School Board for consideration at the July Committee as a Whole and School Board meetings.
