The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has arrested a Livingston Parish man, and added more charges to an Ascension Parish man, in the latest Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force activity.
Aaron Wayne Sharp, 52 of Springfield, was booked on one count each of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor.
Sharp’s arrest comes after he engaged in illegal sexual conversations with what he believed to be a minor for several days and then set up a date and time to meet. With the assistance of the Hammond Police Department’s ICAC Unit and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, Sharp was taken into custody when he arrived at that meeting location in Hammond on Wednesday, November 26.
Michael Vicknair, 32 of Gonzales, who was arrested last week following an ICAC operation is now facing additional charges of Pornography Involving Juveniles (10 counts) and Sexual Abuse of an Animal (1 count). These charges resulted from a forensic analysis of Vicknair’s cell phone following his arrest.
This activity is part of TPSO’s partnership with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office and their ICAC Task Force which includes a collaboration with numerous local law enforcement agencies.
