Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry announced multiple new records in the wake of the Nov. 5 election.
The results of over 2 million votes were uploaded to the Secretary of State’s website in less than three hours.
Nearly 850,000 voters cast their ballots early in-person, and over 100,000 of those were on the final day of early voting, breaking the records set in 2020. Additionally, over 1 million voters also participated on Election Day.
In addition to this data from the Secretary of State’s office, Tangipahoa Parish had over 67% turnout: 41% Absentee or Early Voters, 59% Election Day, and of the 4,400 absentee by mail ballots sent out 76% of them were returned voted.
