A Century Under the Oaks at Southeastern is a Fanfare Lecture featuring Carlos Doolittle.
It will be October 21 at 4:00pm at the Contemporary Art Gallery.
Southeastern Louisiana University grew to its centennial along with the gracious live oaks that landmark its campus. Carlos Doolittle, who leads Southeastern’s Landscape and Grounds team, presents a visual journey showing how Friendship Oak came to be so loved and takes viewers behind the scenes of the current projects preserving its legacy. Along the way, he introduces other historic and beloved oaks, and announces the naming of many more live oaks as Southeastern celebrates its 100th year.
