Shortly after 8pm on Tuesday evening, Slidell Police received reports of multiple shots being fired from a vehicle in the 500 block of Beechwood Drive.
As officers arrived on the scene, they located a female victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her leg.
Officers were able to determine that a dark-colored sedan arrived near the victim’s home and discharged several shots through the residence before driving off. One of the bullets struck the female as she was inside the home.
The victim was transported to an out-of-area hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
