The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested five men, a woman and are searching for a seventh suspect, in connection with a drive-by shooting in Roseland earlier this month.
Facing various charges from this crime are: 19 YO Broderick Coleman, 19 of Roseland; 32 YO Randall “Cole” Brewer of Kentwood; 45 YO Jermaine Henderson of Roseland; 18 YO Patricia Kirby of Roseland; 21 YO Mason Otero of Roseland; 27 YO Justin Summerford of Amite; and 26 YO Khyle Deitch of Hammond, who remains at large.
In the early morning hours of Monday, July 1st, a report of shots fired came in from the area around Church Street in Roseland. Responding deputies learned a man getting items out of his car was shot at by multiple people driving by the home. Fortunately, he was not hurt.
Through the investigation, detectives learned the victim was a witness in an ongoing homicide investigation and that the shooting attempt was part of a murder-for-hire scheme.
Detectives quickly identified seven suspects in the case. Over the course of a week, detectives located and took the suspects into custody. However, the search for Deitch, who is considered armed and dangerous, is ongoing.
Sheriff Gerald Sticker encourages anyone with information about Khyle Deitch’s whereabouts to contact the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 985-902-2045.
