Yesterday Sheriff Randy Smith was sworn in for another four years in office.
A large crowd was on hand at the misdemeanor courtroom in the St Tammany Parish Justice Center for the swearing in of Sheriff Smith and the new Clerk of Court Jessica Jenkins Brewster.
Louisiana Supreme Court Justice William Crain presented the oath of office.
Superintendent of the Louisiana State Police Colonel Robert Hodges was the guest speaker.
